Business Manager – Open Position

Business Manager:  St. Francis of Assisi Parish, in Gates Mills, consisting of 1,550 families and 330 students enrolled in the School (Preschool through Grade Eight), is seeking a Parish Business Manager. The full-time position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Under the direction of the Pastor and in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, the Business Manager assists the Pastor with the daily stewardship of the physical, financial, and personnel resources of both the Parish and School. The Business Manager values the organization and responsible management of resources, and helps the Parish and School fulfill their mission and purpose.

Accounting, finance, or business degree with three or more years of experience preferred.

Qualified candidates should have excellent communication skills, be a team player, have a strong knowledge of accounting principles, be proficient in QuickBooks Premier Non-Profit edition accounting software, ACS parish software, and all Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities include working with parish accountant, maintaining financial and personnel records of the Parish and School, preparing monthly labor and benefit expense allocation reports, annual budgets, monitoring daily cash flow, accounts receivable, school tuition, financial reporting, human resources, payroll, purchasing, and risk management. Duties include the management of all banking activities, internal controls, competitive bidding on contracts for capital improvements/maintenance projects, and daily parish office operations.

Administer parish employee benefits programs and other related personnel requirements in compliance with Diocesan policies and regulations in accordance with Federal, State, and Local laws.

Participate in regular staff, Parish Finance Council, and other meetings or committees that are pertinent to the financial operation of the Parish and School. Liaison to Diocesan administrative and financial offices, including employee benefits, legal, and facility services.
